The emotional IQ of an individual is very important. The ability to reason through life and its important decisions is based of the ability to reason. The better that one can control their emotions, the better they can reason.

The ability to control your emotions can assure that no one ever takes control of your mind, and lead you how they want, because you are not subject to the triggers that people will use against you.
When people know how to pull your triggers spots they will do this to gain the upper hand, and get the control out of you that they need in order to win their position. The ability to keep control of your energy, and the emotions, that spawn from them will take you in a different life of feeling in control.
And that you really can do what you want because, you feel inside of you that you do have the ultimate control over yourself. The ability to accept what is, and controlling the flow of energy will allow you to stay in flow with the situation. The way to accomplish this is to work your breathing patterns.
The breathe is the controlling factor to all the endorphins and relating rush of energy that initially gets you going. So working your breathe and the way that you breathe in times of stress is the all in important step to controlling those floods of emotions.
