The Power of Positive Visualization

Unleashing your creative powers and your ability to succeed in your goals may be as easy as closing your eyes and using your imagination.  Many sources suggest this method for healing, happiness and success.

It seems that being able to visualize, and feel what you want in your mind’s eye is the key to actually creating it in reality.

For example, if someone has a weight goal in mind, they can set aside time each day to sit back, shut their eyes. and see themselves and imagine themselves having met their weight loss goal.  And while there are no strict rules about how long it takes, applying common sense here helps.  If you are going to close your eyes and see it for 1 minutes, this won’t make a huge impression on your mind. Therefore, you are lessening the chances of getting good results.  I would think that this time, “me time” should be at least 20 to 30 minutes daily.

Having “me time” helps you get centered and clear your head as well.  In our daily lives with our packed schedules dealing with career, children, errands, and so much more, it’s easy to get lost in the maze.  But you have to make it a priority to take yourself out of that maze by establishing routine “me time” each and every day – seven days a week – to unwind and unleash your imagination and your inner power.  And if you don’t make the time to do it, proving that this power exists becomes impossible.

But, let’s look at the positives.  First, it’s free.  Second, it can be done anywhere – in bed, in the shower, in a jacuzzi, or in a recliner… third, it also enhances relaxation and boosts a more positive outlook.   What have you got to loose?  Implement your “me time” into to your schedule and start today!
